CSMs represent the company to the customer and the customer with our internal teams.
We can be a great partner to our clients and colleagues by being good to work with.
What ways can we be good to work with? Some examples are:
- Attitude: Hall of Fame basketball coach Jay Wright practiced Attitude as a core value with his teams. Having a helpful attitude on projects can be a great start to accomplishing work together.
- Prepare: When we show-up prepared we communicate to colleagues and customers we value our working relationship. Preparation signals that we can be a trusted partner to work with.
- Listen: We want to be in sync with others while working together. Listening helps us brainstorm ideas, collaborate on solutions and align on the next steps ahead.
- Meet Expectations/Communicate Challenges: Work means an agreement between ourselves and our customer or colleagues. We have a responsibility to complete the work we agreed on and to communicate when we hit challenges.
- Follow-up: Checking-in can be one of the best ways to show we care. We help our customers and internal partners bring projects forward, show our work together is on our mind and uncover barriers so we can move ahead.
CSMs help move work back and forth outside and inside the company. We can help deliver great outcomes in our role by being good to work with.
